Who are we?

The Rusty Old Ranch, Inc, was setup and organized by Rusty Johnson and a group of his friends.  They came up with the idea of helping Veterans, First Responders and Disabled Children.

These individuals have years of experience of working with Veterans, First Responders and Disabled Children.

Veterans

Over 79% of Veterans refuse to go to Veterans Administration Hospitals.  They are concerned that they will be committed involuntarily.  Or that the V.A. doctors will attempt to take away their guns.

The Ranch does not, will not report to the Veterans Administration!

Veterans are not required to have a disability rating to attend the Ranch.

Mental Health Care

There will be 5 Mental Health Care Doctors on Staff at the Ranch.  One Doctor will be on call 24/7.  Clients can attend Counseling as much as needed each day.

Mental Health Care Therapies

The Rusty Old Ranch will offer the following therapies:

-Archery Therapy
-Aquatic Therapy
-Art Therapy
-Equestrian Therapy
-Fishing Therapy
-Information Tech Therapy
-Music Therapy
-Karate Therapy
-Wood Working Therapy

Clients are free to choose on which and however many therapies they want to try.

Homeless Veterans

The Rusty Old Ranch will work with the state Department of Veterans Affairs to house and feed Homeless Veterans.  These Veterans will also be able to attend 1 on 1 classes and Mental Health Therapy as needed.

The Veterans will be cleaned up, given new clothes, housed and fed.

The Ranch Staff will hire the Homeless Veterans to work on the Ranch.  They will be able to earn up to $1,500.00 a month.  A financial Counselor will be available once a week to work with the Veterans on how to save their money.

The Ranch Staff will assist the Veterans in finding employment anywhere in the State of Indiana.  The Ranch will provide transportation to and from the ranch free of charge for the Veteran and/or Veterans family members.

For Veterans who are disabled and cannot work, the Chaplains on the Ranch will assist them with applying for their VA disability rating, free of charge.  The Chaplains can also assist the Veterans with their Social Security benefits.
